Privacy Policy

Last updated: Jan 06, 2026

At HireSolv, your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our recruitment marketplace, website, mobile apps, and social media pages.

1. Scope and Roles

This Privacy Policy applies to candidates, employers, recruiting agencies, and visitors who interact with HireSolv by creating an account, browsing or posting jobs, applying to roles, or engaging with us through email or social media.

For most activities, HireSolv acts as an independent data controller for the operation of the marketplace, while employers and recruiting partners act as separate controllers for their own hiring processes.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Candidate and User Data

  • Identification and contact details: name, email address, phone number, location, and login credentials.
  • Professional resume/CV, cover letter, job titles, skills, work history, education, certifications, salary expectations, and preferences (location, job type, notice period, etc.).
  • Marketplace activity: jobs you view or apply to, saved searches or alerts, messages exchanged through the platform, notes or ratings added by you.

2.2 Social Login and Social Media Data

  • If you sign up or log in using Google, LinkedIn, or other social accounts, we receive the information you authorize, such as verified email, public profile, headline, experience, skills, and profile photo.
  • If you interact with our pages or content on social networks (likes, shares, comments, direct messages, participation in campaigns), we may receive your public profile information and the content of your interaction.
  • If you choose "Apply with LinkedIn" or a similar option, we use the imported data to pre‑fill your profile and applications.

2.3 Employer and Partner Data

  • Company details, billing and contact information, recruiter profiles, and any information provided for job postings or candidate evaluations.

2.4 Technical and Usage Data

  • IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, access times, language, and referring URLs.
  • Log data about your interactions with the platform, including pages visited, features used, clicks, and response times.
  • Cookie, pixel, and tracking data used for authentication, analytics, advertising, and fraud prevention.

2.5 Optional and Sensitive Information

  • Information you choose to provide in assessments, screening questions, or interviews (for example availability, relocation plans, or portfolio links).
  • HireSolv does not intentionally request or require sensitive personal information (such as health, religion, political opinions) unless explicitly needed for a role and permitted by law; if provided, it will be handled with additional safeguards.

3. How We Use Your Information

We process your information to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve our recruitment marketplace and related services.
  • Create and manage user accounts, profiles, and employer or agency dashboards.
  • Match candidates with relevant opportunities, recommend roles, and suggest candidates to employers using search and matching algorithms.
  • Enable communication between candidates, employers, and agencies through messaging, interview scheduling, and notifications.
  • Personalize your experience, such as showing recommended jobs or candidates based on your profile and activity.
  • Provide customer support, answer queries, and handle complaints or disputes.
  • Monitor platform security, prevent fraud or misuse, and enforce our Terms of Use.
  • Conduct analytics, reporting, and service optimization (for example, performance metrics or feature usage).
  • Send service‑related emails or in‑product messages (account alerts, changes to terms, application updates).
  • With your consent, send marketing communications, newsletters, or surveys and run promotional campaigns.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and compliance obligations, including record‑keeping, audits, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.

4. Social Media and Public Profile Use

  • When you connect social or professional profiles, imported information is used to enrich your HireSolv profile and streamline your applications. You can edit or delete this information at any time within your account.
  • We may view and use publicly available professional information (such as public LinkedIn or GitHub profiles) to identify potential candidates or verify data, in line with platform terms and applicable law.
  • If social media or online profiles are reviewed as part of screening, this will be done in a proportionate, non‑discriminatory, and transparent way, and only information relevant to the role will be considered.
  • You may disconnect social logins or integrations at any time. Disconnecting stops new imports but does not automatically erase previously stored data, which you can separately request to delete.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on your location, we may rely on several legal bases to process your data, including:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide you with the recruitment services you request.
  • Legitimate interests: to operate an efficient, secure marketplace, perform analytics, and improve services in ways that respect your rights.
  • Consent: for certain activities such as marketing communications, optional profiling, or specific social‑media imports.
  • Legal obligations: to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and court or regulatory orders.

6. How We Share Your Information

6.1 Sharing within the Marketplace

  • With employers and recruiting agencies when you apply for their roles, join their talent pools, show interest in their company, or configure your profile as discoverable.
  • With recruiters using our search and recommendation tools, according to the visibility settings you select (for example, visible to all employers, anonymized, or visible only when you apply).

6.2 Service Providers

We share information with trusted third‑party service providers who help us deliver the platform, such as:

  • Hosting and cloud infrastructure providers.
  • Email, SMS, and notification services.
  • Analytics, performance monitoring, and search or recommendation systems.
  • Payment, billing, and accounting providers (for employer subscriptions).
  • Background‑check, assessment, and video‑interview vendors used by employers through HireSolv.

These providers are bound by contractual obligations to use the data only on our instructions and to protect it appropriately.

6.3 Legal and Business Transfers

We may disclose information:

  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of HireSolv, our users, or the public, and to detect or prevent fraud or security issues.
  • In connection with any merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, where data may be transferred as a business asset under appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

HireSolv uses cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in and maintain session security.
  • Remember your preferences, such as language and saved filters.
  • Understand how users navigate the site and measure the effectiveness of features and campaigns.

8. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located in different countries. Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms) to protect your data when it is transferred across borders.

  • Provide services to you and our customers.
  • Fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy.
  • Meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the requirements of employers or agencies. After the applicable period, data is deleted, anonymized, or securely archived. You can request earlier deletion of your data, subject to certain legal limitations.
